You will educate clients on vaccines and treatment plans, maintain accurate medical records, and help with check-out. This role requires physical stamina and a professional appearance; flexible hours help cover the hospital schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with animals is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to safely handle animals up to 130 pounds.
• Proficient with practice management software and Microsoft Office.
• Professional and neat appearance.
• Comfortable with varied schedules.
• Able to work around cleaning chemicals and biohazards.

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate, professional care to patients and clients.
• Communicates clearly with clients, doctors, and team members.
• Assists the veterinarian during exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely restrains animals using low-stress handling techniques.
• Administers medications, draws up vaccines, collects lab samples, and performs basic lab tests as directed.
• Creates, reviews, and enters treatment plans accurately in the medical record system.
• Educates clients on common vaccinations, medications, and treatment protocols.
• Accurately records patient information and maintains organized medical records.
• Enters charges and assists with client check-out.
• Keeps exam rooms, treatment areas, and hospital spaces clean and stocked.
• Demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and commitment to hospital operations.
