Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to use practice management software and Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience with animals preferred; veterinary background valued.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle animals safely.
• Maintains composure in emotionally challenging or high-stress situations.
• Professional, neat appearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Provide compassionate care to patients and clients.
• Communicate clearly with clients, doctors, and team members.
• Restrain animals using low-stress handling techniques.
• Administer medications and collect lab samples.
• Enter treatment plans in the medical records system.
• Educate clients on vaccines, medications, and care plans.
• Record patient information accurately in logs.
• Assist with checkout and processing payments.
• Keep exam rooms clean and stocked.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
