PetVet Care Centers'' Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists - Bohemia is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant (Day Shift) to support veterinarians and technicians. You will help with cleaning, feeding, restraining, and clerical tasks, contributing to high-quality patient care and client service.

The role requires strong teamwork, compassion for animals, and the ability to manage multiple duties in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have emergency experience.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners as they arrive and show them to an examining room.
• Triage patients, perform physical exams, treatments, and administer medication as directed by licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with administration of medications or patient restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment and ensure proper documentation.
