PetVet Care Centers’ Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists - Bohemia is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant (Day Shift) to support veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks, including cleaning equipment, feeding, restraining patients, and clerical work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have emergency experience.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners and record weight and vital signs.
• Triage patients, perform physical exams, treatments, and administer medication as directed by licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and restraints.
• Maintain accurate medical records and hospital workflows.
