PetVet Care Centers' Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists - Bohemia is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant (Day Shift) to support veterinarians and technicians with cleaning, feeding, exercising, grooming, preparing surgery suites, restraining patients, and clerical duties, while delivering quality care. Schedule Friday to Sunday, 7 AM to 7 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Emergency experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners and take vital signs.
• Triage patients, perform physical exams, and administer medication under LVT supervision.
• Calm anxious patients.
• Assist with medication administration and restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and radiographs.
• Follow safety and wellness regulations.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
