Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary reception or client service is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable answering phones and helping multiple clients in a busy environment.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn software.
• Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and stay professional in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfort working with dogs, cats, and other animals.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30–50 pounds when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients with a warm, professional, and compassionate approach.
• Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage flow.
• Obtain and update patient histories and client information.
• Check clients in/out and process invoices and payments accurately.
• Fill prescriptions and assist with food and OTC product requests.
• Communicate needs with veterinarians and technicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the management system.
• Assist with questions about appointments, services, and policies.
• Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Provide compassionate support during routine visits and emergencies.
