Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Driver to transport residents safely to appointments and activities, while providing friendly, patient service. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and supportive interaction with seniors.

Responsibilities include assisting residents in/out of vehicles, helping with wheelchairs and walkers, and coordinating basic vehicle maintenance. A valid license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license; CDL may be required per state.
• Passenger endorsement if required by state regulations.
• Three years driving history with a clean record.
• At least one year of experience driving a passenger vehicle, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Experience operating large vehicles or equivalent training.
• Excellent customer service, professional demeanor, and patient approach with residents.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for residents to appointments, outings, and activities.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, using wheelchair lift or stairs as needed; load/unload walkers and wheelchairs.
• Ensure resident safety and satisfaction; account for all residents when leaving or returning to the community.
• Prepare vehicle for operation and coordinate necessary maintenance.
• Maintain vehicle license plates, inspection tags, and insurance cards per policy.
• Follow traffic rules and transportation safety procedures.
• Maintain valid driving license per state regulations.
• Assist in resident programs and events as needed.
• Build positive relationships with residents through friendly conversation and support during trips.
