Job summary

Community Hospital North in Oklahoma City is seeking a Full Time Unit Secretary Days to join a compassionate clinical team. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will handle clerical and receptionist duties on the unit, support patient flow, and participate in admissions, discharges, and transfer processes.

Requirements include a high school graduate or equivalent, fluent English, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Medical terminology class preferred.
• Six months experience as division secretary preferred.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work in a team.
• BLS healthcare certification within 30 days of hire.
• Dysrhythmia class within 30 days in applicable departments.

Responsibilities

• Provides unit clerical and receptionist duties, including order transcription and medical records per HIPAA.
• Manages admissions, discharges, and transfer processes.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• Sets priorities and supports overall unit efficiency.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas and supplies.
