Waterview Hills Campus in Westchester County, NY, is seeking a Unit Assistant to support subacute rehab and long-term care at a top-rated facility. The role includes meal service, resident assistance, and daily activities across day and evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Some High School required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible.
• Must be a team player and willing to help where/when needed.
• Must have a sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred, not required.
• COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT mandated.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal service and distribution of trays, monitor day room and engage residents.
• Inform Nurse or CNA of resident needs or changes in condition.
• Transport residents and distribute meals, assist with seating.
• Assist with obtaining meal or snack alternatives and handwashing.
• Transport to programs and assist activity staff as needed.
• Supervise residents in common areas and assist with bedding and linen organization.
