Job summary

Waterview Hills Campus in Westchester County, NY, is seeking a Unit Assistant. This full-time role (35 hours weekly) offers day and evening shifts, with every other weekend rotation, in a beautiful setting known for top-rated care.

No experience is required; we provide training and excellent benefits including enrollment in health insurance. You will assist with meal service, resident transport, activities, and general care under nursing supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal service, passing and collecting trays, and monitor day room.
• Inform the Nurse or CNA of any resident needs or changes noted.
• Performs resident transport, distributes meal trays and sets up meals.
• Transport residents to dining areas and assist seating at tables.
• Assist residents with meal or snack alternatives and opening containers.
• Assist with transport to/from programs and assist activity staff.
• Supervise residents in patio area and monitor Community Room.
• Tidy up resident rooms, linen closets, and make beds.
• Additional duties may be assigned by nursing administration.

Unit Assistant Summary

• Full Time; 35 hours a week


• Every Other Weekend Rotation Required


• Day Shift 7am-3pm & Evening 3-11pm

Together, these facilities offer patients the best rehab and nursing care they can obtain.

• Unit Assistant is responsible for assisting with meal service, passing and collecting of trays and monitors day room while engaging with residents, assisting with activities when needed


• Informs the Nurse or CNA of any resident needs (i.e. the need to use the rest room) or of any changes noted in resident’s condition


• Performs resident transport, distributes meal trays and sets up meal in front of the resident assigned by Charge Nurse /Supervisor


• Transport residents to designated dining area for meals and assist seating at appropriate table. Assist with handwashing, distribute beverages, transport residents to designated dining area for meals.


• Assist residents with obtaining meal or snack alternates, opening containers, etc.


• Assist with transport to/from programs back to units to assist activity staff with


• Supervise residents in patio area during nice weather and monitor assigned Community Room and assist residents as needed


• Tidy up resident’s rooms, linen closets, and make bed


• Additional duties may be assigned by nursing administration

Requirements

• Some High School Required
