Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services seeks an experienced Transportation Coordinator (CNA/EMT) to manage resident transport and vehicle operations. The role requires coordinating appointments, maintaining vehicle logs, and ensuring timely and safe patient movement within the facility’s network.

The candidate must hold NC DFS nursing assistant or EMT credentials, possess a valid NC driver’s license, and maintain CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Valid NC Driver’s License with good driving record.
• 21 years of age or older and sound character; genuine concern for elderly/disabled.
• Must be registered with NC DFS as Nursing Assistant or as EMT.
• Current CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• Ability to plan, organize, and follow up on assignments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all aspects of transporting residents.
• Maintains proper maintenance logs for all facility vehicles.
• Represents the facility professionally with medical providers.
• Makes all patient appointments and maintains the calendar.
• Maintains logs for each transport and for each vehicle.
• Ensures routine vehicle maintenance is performed.
• Establishes and maintains a vehicle maintenance schedule.
• Fosters good relationships with community, hospital, and health care facilities.
• Takes specimens and other items to hospitals/clinics as requested.
• Makes purchases from local suppliers as requested by staff.
