Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Transportation Coordinator (CNA/EMT) to manage all aspects of resident transport within our facility. The role requires maintaining vehicle logs and schedules, coordinating with hospitals, and ensuring safe, timely patient transportation.

Applicants must hold a NC Nursing Assistant or EMT registration, a valid NC driver’s license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must have valid North Carolina Driver’s License and a good driving record.
• Must be registered as a Nursing Assistant or EMT with North Carolina DFS.
• CPR certification via American Heart Association or equivalent is required.
• Ability to plan, organize, and follow up on transport assignments.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all aspects of transporting residents of the facility.
• Maintains required logs for each transport and for each vehicle.
• Represents the facility professionally when dealing with medical providers during transports.
• Schedules appointments and maintains a calendar of patient transports.
• Ensures routine maintenance and maintenance schedules for all vehicles used in transports.
• Takes specimens and other items to hospital or medical clinics as requested.
• Purchases from local suppliers as requested by staff.
