Job summary

Service Corporation International in Auburn, CA, is looking for a Transfer Specialist to manage care, removal, and transport of deceased with professional conduct toward families and adherence to procedures. You will drive company vehicles, maintain vehicles, and document events in our software.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and at least 1 year of courier/driver experience with customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses: Current state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience: At least 1 year as courier/driver; direct customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transfers and safely drives company vehicles for first-call transfers in compliance with laws and policies.
• Follows chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification processes.
• Interacts with bereaved families professionally during home transfers.
• Transports caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes and assists with moving them.
• Maintains vehicles, cleans and fuels as needed, and reports issues to management.
