Job summary

sci in Tumwater, WA seeks a Transfer Specialist to handle the care, removal, and transport of deceased. You will drive company vehicles, maintain cleanliness, and present a professional appearance when meeting families.

The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, working nights/weekends, and adhering to chain-of-custody procedures. Responsibilities include first call transfers, collaboration with first responders and facilities, data entry into our software, and transporting caskets to

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
At least one year of work experience as a courier or driver with direct customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely drives company-owned professional vehicles to perform first call transfer of deceased in accordance with laws, policies and procedures.
Cooperates with first responders, Coroner, hospital staff, or Senior Living facility and aligns with their processes.
Interact courteously with bereaved family members during home transfers, maintaining sensitivity and leaving a warm impression.
Enter deceased event information into proprietary software according to company procedures.
Transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes and assist with moving caskets.
