Job summary

Sci Corp in Tumwater, WA is seeking a Transfer Specialist to handle the care, removal and transport of deceased. You will drive company vehicles, maintain cleanliness, and ensure compliance with local and state laws, while presenting a professional appearance when meeting families.

The role requires interaction with bereaved families, occasional home transfers, and data entry into company software. Minimum education is a High School Diploma with at least one year of courier/driver experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year work experience as a courier or driver with direct customer interaction preferred.
• Ability to work schedule including weekends and nights.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company vehicles to perform first-call transfer of deceased, following laws and company procedures.
• Interacts with families in a courteous, respectful manner during transfers to home or facilities.
• Enters transfer event data into proprietary software per company procedures.
• Transports caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes and assists with moving caskets.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
