Responsibilities include operating the PBX, paging emergencies, updating patient contact details, and maintaining careful logs and stock of administrative items. A high school diploma and on-the-job training are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to react quickly and calmly to emergency situations and work without direct supervision.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills.
• Must exude excellent communication skills including proper phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Operates the PBX answering incoming and in-house call requests.
• Responds to all emergency codes quickly and calmly with appropriate overhead paging.
• Contacts patients for an address update as indicated by Supervisor.
• Reviews updates in the communication book and initial memos.
• Inventories contents of safe at the beginning of each shift in the presence of a security guard.
• Assigns loaner beepers and programs new beepers.
• Ensures courteous and professional dialog with all customers.
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
