Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers, a BayMark Health Services company, seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatments and coping strategies.

You will conduct individual and group sessions, perform initial assessments, develop aftercare plans, and collaborate with doctors, nurses and counselors to improve recovery outcomes in an outpatient clinic setting. Equal employment opportunity applies.

Qualifications

• Must hold LSAA, LADAC, LMHC, LMSW, LPCC, LCSW or LMFT
• Background check and drug screen required
• Experience in addiction counseling preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
• Conduct initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
