Job summary

Health Care Resource Centers, a BayMark Health Services Company, is seeking a Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to guide patients through medical-assisted treatment and coping strategies for opioid use disorder. The role includes individual and group sessions, treatment planning, and collaboration with doctors, nurses, and therapists to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated counseling experience with substance use disorders.
• Bi-lingual preferred to assist diverse patient populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with medical and therapy teams.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessment and eligibility interviews.
• Develops and reviews initial treatment plans with each patient.
• Completes bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Provides individual and group counseling; coordinates services.
• Develops patient teaching projects; supports relapse prevention.
• Responds to patient grievances and complaints.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
