Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse for Stepdown Overflow to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. You will assess patients at admission and during shifts, administer medications, document care, and advocate for patients and families while following nursing models and hospital standards.

The role requires an RN license, a BSN or ADN, 1+ year of RN experience, and BLS within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing.
• 1+ year of RN experience required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide exceptional care by responding to patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up.
