Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiology Stepdown unit. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, effective treatment and smooth transitions.

Responsibilities include admitting patients, performing procedures and meds administration, documenting care, educating patients and families, and advocating for those in our care.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• RN licensure is required.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree required.
• At least 1 year RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift, report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor response, and document care in the chart.
• Respond to patient requests and proactively address needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, meds, and follow-up.
