Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, seeks a Registered Nurse for Stepdown Overflow to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within established nursing models. You will collaborate with the care team, advocate for patients and families, and contribute to outstanding clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing patients on admission and each shift, administering medications with thorough documentation, and educating patients about their treatment plans and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN Licensure is required.
• Bachelor's Degree or an Associate Degree is required.
• 1+ years RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide exceptional care by responding to patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients and families about the condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
