Job summary

Gentry Public Schools seeks a Special Education (SPED) Paraprofessional to support students under teacher supervision, helping them with academic and personal skills in a safe, respectful setting. The role focuses on social and daily living skills, requiring professionalism and collaboration with staff and families.

Under general supervision, you will assist in implementing lesson plans, supervise in various school areas, and help maintain accurate records while supporting a positive learning

Qualifications

• Assist students with academic and personal needs under teacher supervision.

• Demonstrate professional conduct and effective communication with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Aids medically fragile children under supervision with tasks such as feeding and toileting.
• Collaborates with teachers to support evaluations and implement objectives.
• Assists in executing plans to develop social and daily living skills.
• Implements instructional programs following lesson plans to support learning.
• Supervises students in classroom, library, and playground to ensure safety.
• Performs clerical and record-keeping duties to support staff.
• Assists with data collection to document progress.
• Maintains consistent attendance and punctuality.
