Job summary

Coralwood Diagnostic Center seeks a SPED Paraprofessional to support teachers in implementing high academic expectations and promoting positive student outcomes. The role requires collaboration with team members and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and GACE Paraprofessional Assessment required.
• Associate degree or higher from a PSC-approved college is acceptable.
• 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with GPA 2.0+ meet qualification.
• Must hold PSC-approved paraprofessional certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers in meeting educational, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students.
• Assists students with health-related needs and daily care as outlined in IEPs.
• Provides small group and/or individualized instruction per lesson plans.
• Monitors students before/after school and during non-instructional times.
• Supports classroom management and behavior conducive to learning.
• Assists with assessment and recordkeeping, and with instructional material preparation.
