Job summary

Millennium Health in Spokane is seeking a Specimen Collector to support patient testing and specimen collection. You will collect urine and saliva samples, document orders and patient data, and coordinate with the lab to ensure timely processing.

The role requires strong attention to HIPAA compliance, reliable transportation, and the ability to work in a flexible full-time or part-time schedule. Training is provided, and background checks are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field.
• 2+ years of customer service experience acceptable.
• Ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• HIPAA/HiTrust/compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information and physician order details.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens where applicable.
• Travel between facilities may be required.
