Job summary

Clearwaterhealthandrehab is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents in a sub-acute/skilled nursing setting. You will assess speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive function and develop treatment plans.

Under physician direction you will document care, collaborate with rehab staff, and ensure HIPAA-compliant records. A Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology, current SLP license, CPR, and six months in long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Current license in Speech Language Therapy as required by state law.
• Valid CPR certification required.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates patients and develops appropriate care plans.
• Under physician direction, provides direct patient treatment based on established plan of care.
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide practice methods.
• Documents in patient records accurately and in a timely manner.
