Job summary

Hope Springs is seeking a dedicated Resident Transporter to safely transport residents to medical appointments, community activities, and other outings at Hope Springs.

You will assist residents during boarding and exiting vehicles, maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety, and help with scheduling and route planning to ensure timely transportation. This role supports dignity and independence for seniors in our community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided if necessary).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs, including wheelchairs and walkers.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointments, social outings, and other activities as directed.
• Provide assistance to residents during boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
• Ensure company vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained; report issues to management.
• Work with staff and residents to ensure timely transportation scheduling and efficient route planning.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols to ensure a secure travel experience.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs and report incidents or concerns to staff.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and professional manner to ensure a positive experience during transportation.
