Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents and assist with mobility as needed. You will help residents in and out of vehicles, maintain vehicle safety standards, and complete driving logs.

A valid license, CPR as required, and excellent communication are essential. Candidates should be 21+, possess a HS Diploma or GED, and demonstrate calmness under pressure while ensuring resident comfort and safety on every trip.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies and demonstrate safe driving practices.
• Must be able to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CPR certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
