Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Livingston, New Jersey seeks a dedicated Driver to provide safe, caring transportation for seniors, assisting residents in and out of vehicles and to appointments. You will maintain safety, conduct vehicle inspections, and log driving records to ensure reliable service.

Qualifications include HS Diploma/GED, 21+, valid license with a clean record, CPR as required, and strong communication with calm handling of emergencies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification as required by site.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
