Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents and help with mobility needs. You will ensure resident comfort, vehicle safety, and accurate logs while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, CPR as needed, and strong communication. You will work on-site with a focus on safety, care, and reliable service for our senior residents.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED and be at least 21.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification as required.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment
• Complete required driving logs and documentation
• Report resident changes in condition
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
• Assist with activities when not driving
