Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents in Silver Spring, MD. You will assist residents in and out of vehicles, ensure comfort and safety, and maintain vehicle readiness, logs, and inspections.

Requirements include a HS Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver’s license with clean record, and CPR as required. You will contribute to a caring community while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
