Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Carmel, IN is seeking a part-time Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents to appointments and outings. You’ll assist residents in and out of vehicles, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment to ensure reliable service.

You will need a HS diploma or GED, a valid license with a clean record, CPR certification if required, and strong communication and time-management skills to handle emergencies calmly and

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 21+.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• CPR certification (as required).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
