Job summary

The Highlands is seeking a Server to join our dining team, delivering meals to senior residents and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. You will follow dietary standards, take orders, and assist in setting up and bussing tables as part of a cooperative dining room team.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to read, write and speak English, and maintain a neat appearance. Light lifting up to 40 pounds and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED at a minimum.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be free of communicable disease.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal record background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals in the dining room and follow dietary standards.
• Take orders and serve food; assist in set-ups.
• Maintain clean work areas and assist in proper care of equipment.
• Work with dining room team to ensure pleasant, efficient service.
• Be able to relate to residents and explain menu items.
