Job summary

Highland Health Care Center is seeking a friendly Server to join our dining team. You will assist in meal preparation and service, greet residents and visitors, and ensure meals are delivered promptly and accurately while maintaining a welcoming dining room.

Responsibilities emphasize compassion, reliability, and clear communication. You will follow sanitation guidelines and participate in ongoing training to support resident comfort and safety in a caring, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Proven server experience.
• Customer service experience welcomed.
• Knowl edge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food in quantities according to the menu, recipe and number of persons to be served.
• Sets up dining room as instructed.
• P repares salads and beverages.
• Greets customers as they are seated; ensures table is clean and supplies provided.
• Distributes menus and presents daily specials.
• Takes resident orders and serves meals in a timely manner.
• Ensures food is prepared correctly and to residents' satisfaction; returns incorrect orders to kitchen.
• Cleans dining areas, work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Washes cooking equipment, carts, pots, pans, dishes and utensils.
• Removes garbage; stores food properly.
• Reports issues to Food Services Director; complies with sanitation and safety standards.
• Attends in-services and other required meetings; performs other duties as assigned.
