Job summary

Regency Newcastle is seeking caring individuals to join our team as Server/Dietary Helper to deliver meals and support residents’ comfort. The role includes assisting with food preparation, maintaining sanitation, and ensuring a home-like environment.

You will interact with residents, families, and staff, uphold infection control standards, and contribute to a positive dining experience. This position offers incentives, shift differentials, free meals, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain Food Handler's card
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Compassion and interest in working with the senior population
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents

Responsibilities

• As a Server/Dietary Helper, you will prepare and deliver food to residents, confirm their meal satisfaction, and fill requests
• Bus tables, change table linens, and reset tables following meal service
• Ensure condiment and beverage containers are clean and filled
• Assist with food preparation as needed
• Maintain infection control standards
• Plate food and deliver to tables and rooms
• Wash and sanitize dishes, tables, and chairs
• Reset tables and Fold napkins
• Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees
