Parkview Retirement Center in Sanford, NC seeks a Cook to prepare quality meals for residents, following recipes and presenting plates attractively. You will help stock and clean the kitchen while maintaining safety standards and quality service.

The role requires reading menus, basic math for recipes, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability for weekend/evening/holiday shifts. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus the ability to obtain a food handler certificate.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain a food handler's certificate.
• Ability to read and prepare menus and recipes.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in food preparation.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to calculate recipes and adjust portions.

Responsabilités

• Interact with residents and staff in a professional, friendly manner.
• Follow recipes to prepare nutritious meals for residents.
• Plate meals with attractive presentation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary cooking area.
• Assist with stocking inventory of food and supplies.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and organization.
• Prepare dishes per health department standards.
• Perform kitchen helper duties (wash pots, pans, and dishes).
• Demonstrate ethics and personal accountability.
• Follow OSHA and safety requirements.
• Walk/stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.
