Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook in Cary, NC to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus and dietary restrictions while ensuring food quality and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior cooking experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cooking/food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests; provide great service.
• All other duties as assigned.
