Job summary

Manor Lake El in Georgia seeks a dedicated food service aide to prepare and serve meals to residents according to planned menus and portion controls. You will help with storage, cleaning duties, sanitation, and maintenance of a safe, courteous dining environment while supporting the culinary team and reporting hazards to leadership.

Experience in food service is preferred and a high school diploma or GED is encouraged.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Background screening required by law.
Must read, write, speak and understand English.
Professionalism, empathy, patience, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Prior experience in the food service industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and portion control.
Assist in proper storage of raw and leftover foods.
Assist and direct daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
Follow Standard Precautions and sanitary, safety and infection control policies.
Maintain sanitary conditions in department and food storage areas.
Ensure equipment and supplies are properly maintained and organized.
Maintain good personal hygiene.
Report hazardous conditions or incidents to the Culinary/Executive Director.
Dispose of food waste per policy and wear protective gear when needed.
Maintain and file menus and complete required forms and reports.
