Job summary

As a Resident Assistant at American House, you will support seniors with daily living activities, helping them maintain independence in a warm, welcoming community.

You will work as part of a wellness team under RN or LPN supervision, provide compassionate care, monitor changes, and assist with meals and activities.

Qualifications

• Passion for serving seniors with a patient approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Previous caregiving, senior living, or healthcare experience.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25–50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report observations to leadership.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities, programs, and social events.
• Follow individualized care plans to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident apartments and common areas.
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Support new resident orientation and help them feel welcome in the community.
