Job summary

Avista Senior Living in Sumner, WA is seeking dedicated caregivers to join our team. You will read and implement care plans, respond to resident needs, and promote independence while maintaining accurate records and a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Must have HCA certification; CNA preferred.
• Current CPR certification and First Aid training.
• Food Handler’s permit as required by state regulations.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and implement care/ADLs according to the resident service plan.
• Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and alarms promptly.
• Demonstrates empathy and caring rapport with residents.
• Promote resident independence and self-care.
• Maintain accurate records of care delivered.
• Conduct shift safety checks and communicate resident status to the next shift.
• Notify nursing of any changes in resident condition in a timely manner.
• Complete incident reports accurately and timely.
• Follow safety and infection control policies to prevent illness.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.
