Avista Senior Living in Sumner, WA is looking for Caregivers to join our team. This PRN - As Needed role offers an hourly wage of $21.00–$22.00 and flexible hours in a supportive, mission-driven environment. We value compassionate care and teamwork.

Responsibilities include implementing care plans, responding to resident needs and alarms, maintaining records, and promoting safety and independence. Requirements: HCA with CNA preferred, CPR/First Aid, Food Handler’s permit, and a high school

Qualifications

• Must have HCA; CNA preferred.
• Must have word processing skills.
• CPR certification, First Aid, and Food Handler permit as required by state regulations
• Must complete state trainings as necessary
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills

Responsibilities

• Read and implement care/ADLs according to resident service plan within scope of practice
• Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and alarms in a timely manner
• Maintains accurate records of care delivered and communicates status across shifts
• Promotes resident independence and safe environment; follows safety and infection control policies
• Recognizes and reports changes in resident condition to nursing staff

Responsibilities

• Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plan within the scope of practice of certification or licensure
• Effectively works within professional scope of practice per state laws, regulations, and professional standards
• Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner
• Demonstrates empathy and develops caring rapport with residents
• Promotes resident independence and self-care
• Delivers care and services in accordance with individual service plan for all assigned residents
• Maintains accurate and complete records of care delivered
• At the start of each shift conducts a visual safety check on all assigned residents and at the end of each shift, effectively communicate (written or verbal) resident status with next shift
• Communicates change of condition in any resident to nursing in a timely and effective manner
• Completes incident reports accurately and timely
• Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses
• Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment
• Recognizes, responds to, and reports concerns in resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort of resident

QualificationsQualifications

• Must have HCA, prefer CNA.
• Must have word processing skills
• Must have current CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handler’s permit as required by state regulations
• Must complete all state required trainings as necessary
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience
