Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Saint Augustine, FL, is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to enrich the lives of residents and provide hands-on personal care in a safe, home-like environment.

You will support daily activities, respond to calls, and promote independence with dignity, while engaging residents in meaningful life skills. A CNA is preferred; HS diploma required; 18+ and prior senior care experience recommended.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior experience with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication with residents, team members, and leadership.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with good customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance.
• Respond to resident call bells and security system promptly.
• Help residents maintain independence while ensuring safety and dignity.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas.
• Offer companionship and emotional support; engage residents in meaningful activities.
• Notify supervisor or health care coordinator if a resident’s care needs increase.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
