Job summary

DaySpring of Wallace is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and promote dignity and independence in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires empathy and attention to detail, with responsibilities including ADLs, meal support, health monitoring, and fostering engagement. A HS diploma or GED is preferred, with PCA/CNA training encouraged; background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Support meal preparation, feeding assistance and hydration as needed.
• Monitor health changes and report to nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and engagement to promote resident well‑being.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures and respond to emergencies.
