Job summary

Mitchell House is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities and promote independence in a safe, nurturing environment.

The PCA will assist with ADLs, monitor health, encourage social engagement, and follow infection control protocols. A high school diploma is preferred, with 1 year of relevant experience and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility.
• Monitor residents' health and report changes to nursing staff; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster resident engagement through companionship and participation in activities.
• Maintain clean, safe living environments and follow infection control protocols.
