Job summary

The Avalon of Bloomfield Township in Bloomfield, MI is seeking a Resident Care Associate (CNA/PCA/HHA) with a strong passion for seniors and high customer service. We welcome trainees who are dedicated to compassionate care.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, meals, laundry, and activities; documenting shifts; and promptly reporting any concerns to nursing staff. This employer is an EEO employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience working as CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
• 1 year experience in assisted living/memory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with high-quality personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, incontinent care, etc.).
• Make beds, turn down, and change linens weekly or PRN.
• Complete resident's personal laundry as assigned.
• Assist residents with meals, cut food, and encourage eating.
• Promote a calm atmosphere.
• Complete and document shift assignments; report to nursing supervisor if unable to complete.
• Report to nurse on duty and Director of Health Services any unusual behavior of residents.
• Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies promptly.
• Provide emergency care within scope of practice.
