Job summary

The Canterbury House in Roxboro, NC is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide direct care to residents and support daily activities. You will assist with ADLs, meals, hydration, and monitor health under nursing supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
• Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster positive relationships and encourage participation in community activities and events.
• Ensure living areas are clean, organized, and safe; follow infection control protocols and safety procedures.
