Job summary

The Canterbury House in Roxboro, NC is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate team. You will provide direct care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and support the nursing staff to promote health, safety, and independence.

Ideal candidates will have a state-approved CNA program, be patient and reliable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team. A minimum of 1 year in senior living or healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing with the state.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare, senior living, or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the nursing team.
• Foster engagement through activities and companionship to promote wellbeing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-controlled environment.
• Provide medication reminders under supervision as needed.
