Job summary

The Gardens of Nashville is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable living environment.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, encourage engagement, and follow safety protocols while maintaining residents' dignity. A high school diploma and 1 year of care experience are preferred. CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through companionship and meaningful interactions.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain safety of residents’ living areas.
