Job summary

Masconomet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Topsfield, MA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. You will provide direct nursing care to patients and supervise certified nursing assistants, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

The successful candidate will hold a nursing degree, have current MA RN licensure, at least 1 year in a skilled nursing setting, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or graduate from an approved RN program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed nurse (LPN or RN) in a skilled nursing facility, with on-the-job training provided.
• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Massachusetts.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Knowledge and understanding of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to relay information concerning patient conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver optimal quality of care for patients on assigned units, adhering to established standards of practice and facility policies and procedures.
• Follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
• Complete processes for patient admission, transfer, and discharge, ensuring seamless transitions and exceptional care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including incident reports and accident investigations.
• Provide education and guidance to certified nursing assistants to ensure quality care and support.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of patients served.
