Job summary
Memorial Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care on a full-time basis in Belpre, OH. The RN will participate in bedside shift reports, perform hourly rounding, and coordinate timely patient assessments and discharge education.
The role requires Ohio RN licensure with BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and NRP within specified timelines. Meditech documentation and strong communication within the care team are essential, along with a patient-centered, compassionate
Qualifications
- Current licensure in Ohio or WV if practicing there
- BLS and annual stroke education required on hire
- ACLS, PALS and TNCC required within 12 months
- ASLS certification preferred on hire
- Stroke education during orientation and related online modules
- NRP within 12 months of employment
- Maintains compliance in RQI program
Responsibilities
- Participates in bedside shift report/handoff.
- Performs hourly rounding.
- Obtains required patient assessments and reassessments.
- Coordinates discharge teaching for patient/family.
- Implements and monitors nursing interventions.
- Documents in Meditech within required timeframes.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to identify patient needs.
- Communicates changes in patient condition to physician via SBAR.
- Manages patient care and delegates appropriately per caregiver skill.
- Maintains therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
