Job summary

Villa at City Center in Warren, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their care team. The RN will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating residents' plans of care, and delivering licensed nursing care according to physician orders and regulatory standards.

Candidates must hold an active RN license in Michigan, CPR/BLS, strong communication, infection control knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in a busy long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• CPR trained and possess a current BLS certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Gracious and welcoming personality for customer service interaction.
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Understands and follows infection control standards, policies and procedures.
• Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.
• Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with short and long-term care residents and the elderly.
• Meets all health requirements, as required by law.
• Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with standards.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas including nurse station and treatment rooms.
• Takes and records vital signs and administers IV therapy as ordered within license.
• Documents care provided and resident response in charts.
• Ensures safe environment and addresses safety risks.
• Monitors non-licensed ancillary services to meet standards of care.
• Communicates with residents, families, physicians, and staff as required.
• Implements and updates care plans and suggests changes as needed.
• Ensures infection control compliance and HIPAA adherence.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
